Tickets to Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition: NOTE: Includes admission to Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition as well as the permanent exhibits of Sloan Museum. Separate general admission tickets not needed.

    Due to contractual agreements, there are no discounts or free passes accepted for this exhibit. Tickets to the exhibition are timed. Advance purchase is recommended.

    Regional history, historic automobiles and hands-on science are major features of the Sloan Museum. Dramatic settings, video programs and hundreds of artifacts and photographs portray the area’s tumultuous 20th century history in the Flint and the American Dream exhibit.

    Sloan Museum is nursing friendly. Mothers are welcome to nurse wherever they feel comfortable. If you would like a private location, please use our Nursing Room, located next to the ladies restroom in Wisner's Whizbang Emporium.

    Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition

    View more than one hundred of authentic artifacts recovered from Titanic’s debris field, amazing recreations of her famous rooms, and share in the dramatic personal stories of her passengers and crew. Sponsored locally by HAP.

    Wisner's Whizbang Emporium

    This gallery is designed for young and young at heart to play together. You will reminisce and wonder at toys from the past as your little tykes “shop” for food and go to the kitchen to “prepare” a meal. Spend time with your favorite kids by playing a board game or discovering a book together. More information here.

    20th Century Gallery - Flint And The American Dream

    Flint’s dramatic history as the birthplace of General Motors comes to life at the Alfred P. Sloan Museum. Flint and the American Dream takes visitors on a fascinating journey through Flint in the 20th century - from the birth of the auto industry to the present. Here visitors encounter the ups and downs of General Motors, the birth of the UAW, Flint’s role as the “Arsenal of Democracy” and what life was like during the 50s, 60s and 70s. The gallery is packed with over 600 artifacts and photographs, including rare antique automobiles, colorful neon signs, period clothing, household furnishings and commercial goods

    Collecting Flint from A to Z

    Sloan Museum has a lot of artifacts, nearly 400,000 of them! You name it, we probably have one. A large, eclectic collection is required to accurately record life in Flint and Genesee County over the last 200 years. Our exhibit, Collecting Flint from A to Z, will highlight 26 groups from our vast and varied collection, normally hidden away in museum storage. Each alphabetized set reveals something about our shared history. See historic automobiles and firearms, radios and wedding dresses, beer, blueprints and everything in-between.
